Spend 3 days exploring the best wildlife region of the Southern Kruger National Park with this classic safari. This 3-day tour will give you quality time on safari and includes a Night Safari on a private concession, 1 Full Day Safari exploring different regions of the Kruger National Park, and a Morning Safari on the last day.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Johannesburg & Sunset/Night Safari

We will travel directly to the lodge in Hazyview and arrive between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. Guests will have time to relax, unpack, and enjoy a light lunch, and there is also time to go for a swim or for a walk around the beautiful lodge or its walking trails. We depart at around 16:00 pm for a 3-hour Sunset/Night Safari in the Kruger National Park on a private concession before returning to the lodge at approximately 19:30–20:00 pm for a scrumptious dinner and a good night's rest.

Day 2: Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in the Kruger National Park

All safaris start before sunrise as this is the best time of the day to enter the park. After a short drive to the park, your guide will take you into an area popular for spotting wildlife. An early morning start gives you a better opportunity to spot predators. The lodge will arrange breakfast packs and after about 3 hours of driving, your guide will stop for breakfast, a bathroom break, and a coffee. We then continue exploring the Kruger's various eco-zones, rivers, watering holes, plains, and Bushveld regions. For lunch, we stop at a rest camp (on your account). We arrive back at the lodge at around 15:30–16:00 pm.

Day 3: Morning Safari and Transfer back to Johannesburg

The last safari departs before sunrise. We will have a packed breakfast at a rest camp or picnic site. The guide will focus on finding animals not spotted on previous days — the Kruger has 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species, with special hope to see lion and leopard. We return to the lodge at around 12:00 pm, freshen up, and the shuttle departs between 12:00–12:30 pm, arriving back at OR Tambo Airport between 17:00–18:00 pm.
